We cannot write “to do” as two words when they come directly before “list.” This is because they are both used as adjectives. Incorrect: If you’re not looking for anything out of your todo list, why did you bother making it? To do list.Correct: I want a to-do list sorted out.Incorrect: We have a few things on the todo list that need sorting out right now.Correct: You’re not understanding my to-do list jobs at all, are you?.It’s best to avoid using this form, partially because it’s incorrect, and partially because it’s hard for people to read “todo” as one word. We cannot group “to-do” into one word because it takes away from the meaning of “to” and “do” when hyphenated. This is exactly what I wanted, the ability to automatically (and simply) rollover tasks and know they would not get dropped off a/the list.Watch the video: Only 1 percent of our visitors get these 3 grammar questions right. Whilst I have many folders including MY DAY, I now just use Planned. ![]() You have the option of putting any date in (rather than today) as the due date. If you then do not complete the task, it stays in PLANNED, but is marked (in RED) as OVERDUE. If you use PLANNED it will automatically slot tasks into TODAY when you create them. I just found a better way to do this than using MYDAY. I wonder at times if MS personnel actually use their own products. It would be very simple to put in a configuration checkbox (KEEP incomplete tasks in MYDAY: YES/NO). Anything that is in MYDAY should stay in MYDAY until completed or removed. To have to do anything handraulically to make this happen is poor design, introduces points of failure and frankly is less than sensible. This is a very commonsense approach to task management where you have a list of things to do today that do not get done and should automatically be KEPT in MYDAY. Isn't there a AUTOMATIC mechanism for something that does NOT get completed today will roll over to MyDay (Tomorrow). ![]()
